2. Verify the organization’s credentials.
   
   Before you give, use sites like Give.org, Charity Navigator, or GuideStar to check an organization's credentials. Be careful donating to crowdfunding sites.
    
3. Look for secure online donation pages.
   
   Check the website's security features. Look for SSL Encryption (https://) and secure payment processing. Avoid clicking on links from unsolicited texts or emails.

Ways to Help with Texas Flood Relief

• The Texas Bankers Foundation has established a page for online donations to provide immediate financial assistance for those affected by the flooding, with 100% of the earmarked donations going directly to support those affected by the natural disaster.
